1,480 caravans were initially registered in Bulgaria for the first 10 months of the year. This is shown by the official data of the traffic police, which we obtained access to.

The total number of new registrations includes caravans with a permissible maximum mass of up to and over 750 kg. Out of all 1480 registrations, 33 were of brand new caravans and of the second hand 1416 were over 750 kg.

Looking at brands, Hobby is #1 in Bulgaria in terms of new registrations with its 245 caravans, of which 2 are brand new. Far behind them in second place is Adria with 112 caravans, all second-hand. The top three is completed by Knaus and their 106 caravans, 2 of them new.

Further down the brand rankings is Swift with 94 second-hand caravans and Bailey with 80, Bürstner with 77 caravans, 2 of them new, and the premium manufacturer Tabbert with 68 caravans, 2 of them brand new. They are followed by Elddis with 62 caravans, Chateau with 58 registrations, Fendt with 56, one of them new. The same number of 56 also has Dethleffs, but 6 of them are brand new. Back in the rankings are KIP with 46 caravans, Beyerland with 44, LMC with 40 and Lunar with 37.

The only manufacturer where new caravans are more than second hand is Weinsberg. In the first 10 months, a total of 9 caravans of this brand have been registered, 8 of which are brand new. The second best-selling brand for new caravans in Bulgaria is Dethleffs with 6 units, with 2 new caravans each are the aforementioned Hobby, Knaus, Bürstner and Tabbert.

A total of over 400 British caravans were registered since the beginning of the year. So it turns out that almost every third caravan is a second-hand import from Great Britain. The most likely reasons for this are their lower prices and good supply.
