At 53 ,I Rosy decided it was time to live simply and do something on my own. I moved to Ostrov, a quiet little village in northern Bulgaria, where time slows down and the only noise comes from birds. On top of a hill with wide views and magical sunrises, turned an old house into a cozy homestay with just two rooms – each one a mix of old, new, and reused things, full of charm and stories.

Build everything with care – an outdoor kitchen, a shower under the sky, a clean compost toilet, and little corners to rest or read. It’s not luxury, but it’s warm and welcoming. Perfect for cyclists, Yogis,travelers, or anyone wanting peace.

In the morning, homemade breakfast with my own jam, sundried tomatoes, fresh eggs, and strong coffee. Sometimes there’s pesto made from the garden basil or chilli oil with a kick.
