Campers and cycling enthusiasts will soon have a new destination in Northern Bulgaria. A large-scale project in the municipality of Slivo Pole envisions the creation of a specialized camping zone in the village of Ryahovo and a scenic cycling route along the river.

The District Administration of Ruse announced key details of the new regional initiative, aimed at making the Danube riverbank an even more attractive spot for eco and historical tourism.

Camping Zone in Ryahovo Village One of the most exciting news for our community is the planned construction of a designated camping space in the riverside village of Ryahovo. The project envisions not just a parking lot, but a complete landscaping of the area, including:

  • Construction of the necessary technical infrastructure for campers and caravans.
  • Development of a park area for recreation.
  • Use of renewable energy sources to power the site.
  • Information boards revealing the rich biodiversity along the Danube River.

Cycling Tourism and Connectivity For active travelers, the project includes the construction of a new panoramic cycling route connecting the town of Slivo Pole with the village of Brashlen. The route will offer river views and safe travel between the settlements. Additionally, an electric bus stop will be established to ensure easy connection with the city of Ruse.

Roman History The cultural aspect of the journey has not been overlooked. A replica of a "Roman Mausoleum Tomb" will be built in the lands of Babovo village, adding historical value to the tourist route in the region.

The initiative is a step forward in the development of camping tourism along the Danube, offering modern infrastructure combined with nature and history.
